Ways to make a legacy gift
There are simple ways to make a legacy gift – a gift in your Will, using the proceeds of a life insurance policy or making us a beneficiary of a registered plan (RRSP, RRIF or TFSA).
Your family, lawyer and financial advisor will help in determining how to make the most effective and impactful future gift.
Please remember, even if you already have a Will, you can include a bequest to Food Allergy Canada through a simple codicil, which is a legal document that acts as a supplement to your Will.
To help you get started, you can download sample bequest language for your Will.
Benefits of a legacy gift
- You have the use of your assets during your lifetime.
- It reduces your final estate taxes.
- It may allow you to make a larger, more impactful gift.
- You may change your decision at any time.
