The recent coconut drink recalls may affect you directly or others you know with a milk allergy. Please share this with others who may need this information.
Food Allergy Canada was advised by our colleagues at Allergy and Anaphylaxis Australia about a recall situation involving undeclared milk in certain coconut beverages. We shared this information with both the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Health Canada. The CFIA has issued two recent recalls for coconut drinks in Canada:
- Kam Wah Resources Co. Ltd
- Orthodox Coconut Palm Brand Coconut Juice
- Updated October 30: Karribean Flavours brand Coconut Milk Powder and Yeshu Brand coconut drink
There has also been at least one recall in the US and one in Hong Kong so far.
While we have not been made aware of more recalls in Canada, we suggest that you avoid consuming imported products, as labelling requirements differ from country to country.

If you suspect a product has triggered an allergic reaction, keep the product and contact the CFIA immediately. Please keep us informed, too. And, of course, always follow your emergency treatment plan.
